Well, you could go for a string of RGB LED's. That way you don't have any shadowing, and you still get all the colours you want.

I saw the pictures on facebook, and I knew I'd seen those sabers around here before :P
The tubes were a dead giveaway ;)
Congrats on the shoot btw.

For those interested, there's a topic on this on the Rebel Legion forums:
http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40405
Basically, you're better off making it yourself, or having it...
Basically go around subjecting it to whatever damage it would suffer
in 'real life'. Bash it around, drop it (gently), rub it against every surface you see,
then clean lightly. Repeat.
This...
It is a nice saber and all, but I don't think you're supposed to advertise sales here...

Wasnt this thread from 2009....
Meaning this thread's necromanced back to life(looking at the previous 4 posts)?

One thing you could do is look up the MHS dimensions right here: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?2031-Learn-about-the-Modular-Hilt-System-aka-MHS
This should help you plan future...
Not much to say here, that's a great lookin' saber

I know it's been long established that the SaberSound 1.0 is by no means a recommendable soundboard,
but for some reason I got one, and installed it in a saber.
After a year of being...
Seeing how this is your first post, might I suggest reading the forum guidelines?
There's a 'No soliciting' rule on this site, meaning no asking for 'Can you sell me X?".

Well Wade, I gotta hand it to you,
you know how to build some cool sabers!
I hope this one wasn't that much trouble ;)

The main parts concern would indeed be the LED being overdriven.
Also, you did not really 'bust' any of my arguments, save the implied manual replacement.
Parts damage by wrong setting is still...
Well, you could see it this way:
The easier it is, the less people will blow up an awesome soundcard.
Also, sliders and preset options help the users know the limit of the hardware at
all times,...
Doesnt the amount of layers it can hold, depend more on the individual properties of the layer's themselves?
Especially max. temperatures.
Lets say layer one cures at 230 degrees, and 'burns'...
This is kinda reminding me a bit of the Portal 2 Alternate Reality Game....
The most obscure puzzles were solved by the joined effort of lots of people...
In other words, YOU CAN DO IT GUYS!

+1 for the first one, minus the over-the-choke-block thing.

While it does look like a solid design,
I still miss a certain sithyness, other than the obligatory red blade....

One thing you could try to prevent the cold fluorescent tube effect, is to go for a warmer white.
Perhaps a thin orange filter or something of the sort.
Or any colour, for that matter...

I have seen those mentioned over at Padawan's Guide,
but i also heard that you have to pay for them,
or had to pay for them, since they are discontinued or something...
There are several more...
For the picture, id either go to
a room where there's no direct light shining on it,
or take a picture with a light behind it.
As for the saber, it looks pretty awesome, and i do like bright...
I hope that answers some of your questions, and I
also hope you don't mind me rearanging the text to something I personally
find more pleasant to look at ;-)

Not to mention heat management...

The blade cracked because of the retention screw?
Either that blade is really fragile, or you've been trying to screw the retention screw in too far...

Well, Skott, that is because its not as good as it should be yet.
I dont post WIP sabers.
Not here at least...
Anyway,
If you want me to post it Skott, fine, have at it:
(The one between the...
