Rebuild with Tri-Cree
Several years back I built a Tri-Rebel GGW on a NanoBiscotte platform with FoC and...long story short, I need a new LED and want to switch to a Tri-Cree GGW. Since it's been almost ten years, I want to make sure I'm not messing up my calculations and which resistors I'm ordering.
Using the 3.7 battery voltage:
Green LEDs - 3.7v at 1 amp = no resistor? I seem to recall always needing one, so would something tiny like a 0.1 ohm resistor be best?
White LED - 3.15v at 1 amp = 0.55 R
For wattage ratings, I had the formula for P = [(Vsupply - Vload) * amps ] in my original wiring diagram but I came across one today on another part of the forum that it was just Vs * amps...so I'm not sure about that.
Going with the old formula I had, that would put me at (looking at the options on TCSS):
- 0.1 ohm 1 w resistor for each green
- 0.5 ohm 1 w resistor for the single white
Can anyone confirm if these would be the correct purchase?

The resistors look fine. I had a tutorial about Ohm’s law floating around here on the forum.

"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before... you want blindingly bright, super loud, running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card you can find AND you want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time. That one cracks me up every time..."

Thanks FJK. Nice to see you're still helping out
