Hey gang. Long time no see.
Because I don't have enough projects (new set of SCA armor, new AR, new 40K Harlequin Army), or maybe just because I'm dumb, I'd like to build another saber. The last two I built I made so I could either have them separate, or swap the pommels for a connector and make a dual saber, but the aluminum connector seems a bit...under strength for anything resembling actual bashing around. As such, I think I will keep them separate, and build a new dedicated double-bladed saber out of some sturdier materials.
My question is on the dimensions of the chassis parts and other internal guts, like speaker holders and such. Sometimes it's hard to find dimensions on parts in the store, but it looks like if I have 1.25" ID most things will fit (such as the polymer discs for building chassis that hold cards and batteries, or most of the speaker holders). Is that correct? The ID needs to be 1.25" for whatever tube I decide to use as the hilt?
Thanks. I know this info is around somewhere, but I spent about 30 minutes looking through threads and couldn't seem to find it. Maybe my search-fu is weak.
