Default Drill and Tap Hole Help Needed for Screw on LED blade holder style 18

    Hey guys,

I was wondering where is the best place to drill a hole on the Blade Holder Style 18 and wat size hole. As for screw size, I need help with that as well. Obviously a 10-32 screw would be needed for a 10-32 hole or a 8-32 screw for a 8-32 hole; what i am more concerned with is what the length of the screw should be. I dont want to order a screw just to find out that it does not have enough reach to secure the blade. Thx ahead of time

And another question, do i need to drill a hole in every part of the hilt to connect them or do they fit nicely into each other like the pommel to the the main body to the extension to the blade holder. or do each of these pieces need to be screwed into each other

the MHS parts screw together nicely and don't need additional set screws (or at least none, I've ever seen / used).

As far as the set scew in the BH - I've used a #18 before and put it in the lower "raised" section of it. I used a 10-32 x 1/4 and with the blade in, it comes pretty close to flush with the surface.

This question makes me think that you didn't look at the hilt parts very closely in the Store? It's almost like you didn't see that the parts are threaded.

i have never bought or built a lightsaber so just cuz its threaded means i could only "speculate" that i can fit them in together, besides that, looking at everyone elses lightsabers there seemed to be many screws and whatnots on it and i cant tell if that was for functionality purposes or design purposes

You might want to go through all the stickies in the forum before you buy Parts... It could save you some time and money in the long run.
Got a Question? There's a thread for that...
