    You are correct. The speaker combo will not fit in the ribbed section.

    The speaker is mounted in the lower hilt section. I did not use a speaker mount. I made my own housing for it.

    Did you use a speaker from TCSS then. How did you do the housing?

    I've ordered some parts and wanted to do a reverse sound job, realising after that getting the wires past the speak/batt combo is going to be tricky. I'm using a shroud so I can run the wires up and out and they wont be seen, but I'd rather have it internal if I can.

    Any ideas?

    If you use a shroud to cover your wires, you'll still have to dremel or mill a channel in the MHS pieces to allow for the wires. The sinktubes fit over the MHS too snugly to allow wires without some sort of groove to fit them in.

    I've not got the parts to see, but I did suspect this would be the case.
