    Default My blade holder design

Just wanted to see what y'all think of this. I plan to use this desgin on my next saber. The blue dots around the bottom of the rebel symbol are to be 1/8" or 1/16" (haven't decided yet) holes to allow the light of the blade to shine through.

no they won't be that short, My mind is churning, trying to think of something else to add, it seems just a little to plain. Heck, it may just work better as an emitter shroud.

It's an Oompa Loompa saber. lol

It's actually a very cool idea using the Rebel symbol like that. I can't wait to see the final piece. I hope you've practiced your Dremel Fu.

dremel-fu is a must and i hope you have some small disks and bits too.... and a good idea of what you want to do and LOTS of stencils. for that application i use either waterjet-fu or lazer-fu.

I wish I had the ability to use waterjet-fu or lazer-fu, however my dremel-fu should be sufficent enough, if not then I'll have a bunch of scrap metal lying around.

scrap metal-fu.... my hands are just way to shaky for dremel fu to be even a possible thought of possibily thinking about. its genetic. hell i can barely solder.... im thinkin of havin someone do my mill fu for me. becuase it would be cheaper then lazer-fu

mount your work in a vice and do a little bit at a time. if your hands become too shaky stop for a little while. I've always managed near perfection just by working in small increments. If that dosen't work for you try a shot of whiskey, lol.

It would make an AWESOME emmiter. Amazing Dremel-fu this would require.
