I could, possibly, just understand someone being too lazy, or inept to do the soldering. BUT... to go to the effort of cutting the lengths of heat shrink tube, putting them over the joins and then not heating it so it shrinksI don't get it. After all the clue is in the name.

Easy enough to fix though and I learned that taking apart the Luke is extremely easy. Now I can switch from this Ultra "hero" emitter to a Maul version to extend it a bit.

Even if the lazy bastard didnt like soldering irons, the LEAST he could have done is use butt/crimp connectors. Sad.
