Vader-ish saber from MHS

[Obi-Dar Ke-Gnomie]

A friend of mine commissioned this from me for her nephew. He is a Star Wars fan, and likes Darth Vader. She asked if I could do a saber like Vader's. My first thought was to convert an FX, but she said it didn't have to be an exact replica, so I went through my spare parts and came up with this.

MHS hilt #1, BH#1, and pommel#1
Black clamp from King of Parts
Emitter from a Joe Jedi
FX Mace board
Red Seoul P4
4AAA batteries
TCSS speaker
Grips from my scrap pile

It would have been easier to just convert the FX Vader, but everything I needed was sitting in a drawer gathering dust, so I gave it a shot.








I'll have to shoot a video. Has anyone else used a Mace board, and noticed a very obvious skip as the idle hum loops?
