I see a 7" fluted with guarded switch hole, but I don't see a guarded switch on your list, I only see this one: "Push on/push off switch with black button". If that's the switch you are going to use, then you need the standard switch hole, otherwise, order a guarded switch. Make sure to get the latching switch, if you do, since you don't say anything about adding some kind of sound board.

I don't remember if the AV switches fit in the same hole as the guarded switches do.

You're going to have to modify either your lens or lens holder if you use the 5° lens, the 10° will snap right into the lens holder.

Is there any benefit to the 10 degree lens? I assume the 5 is a tighter pattern, keeping the light more focused towards the end of the blade. But then you'd have to modify it to get it to fit the holder.

The Av switches do require a larger hole than the guarded style do. Have Tim drill the hole for you, it's much easier that way. It's under "Services" in the store.

thanks everyone for the replys....the 10 collimator is currently out of stock but ill keep in mind i should pick that one up instead....
so am i correct in thinking that the momentary switches u have to hold down to stay on and the latching click on with the push?
im not adding sound at first but would like to add it in the future
    thanks

You are correct. Some soundboard require momentary switches, like the toy Hasbro boards, while others require a latching type, like the Master Replicas/Hasbro Signature FX boards. Keep that in mind when you decide what switch you plan to order, it might save you some money down the road.

So, you're going to use a momentary switch before you get any kind of sound board? That's not going to be easy keeping that kind of switch pressed to keep the LED turned on. You have to push the button into the switch, it's not going to be easy to keep it pressed in.
