Thread: Adding driver and soundboard

    Default Adding driver and soundboard

I'm new to the site and just made my first saber. Right now its pretty basic, just an AV switch and the LED. I figured the next step would be to add a driver, then add sound so I looked around the forum but still have a few noob questions to ask.

    1. Will I need a soundboard and a driver? The description of the Ultrasound makes it seem like it does the job of both. (I know you can't find them anymore, hopefully the upcoming TCSS board will have similar features.)

    2. What's my best choice for a driver if I do need both? I have Seoul P4 green LED.

    Thanks for your help

The only high level soundboard that does not drive Lux LEDs is the Hyperdyne SaberSD. Every other one will, and if you use a cheap toy one, there's threads ALL about that.

I think that the best choice for driver at the moment would be the Plecterlabs Luxeon Dimmer/Driver.

They are rarely available, but soon the new TCSS Adjustable LED driver is coming, so you might want to wait for that.

(I know there is one in the store, but the board that combines the current adj. driver and the add-on board.)

Thanks. I guess I'll just wait until the TCSS soundboard comes out then.
