    Cool Hello from Ontario, Canada

I am new to the custom light saber scene. i am a long time Star Wars fan. I recently picked up a 2007 Darth Vader Signature Series Force FX light saber at a comic con for a decent price. I absolutely love it. It didn't come with a stand though.

Came to this website to learn more about the item i have the types of mods i can do to it as well what else is out there.

    Thanks,

Thank you for the warm welcoming. So far my research on this site has lead me to believe there are mods for the 2005 force fx model not the 2007?

Also from what i gather people tend to convert the led strip to a more durable blade with led or el. However it does not power up or down like the LED strip in the original fx blade. is this correct?

Well, nobody uses EL tech anymore. It's not very bright at all.

You can't get true blade scrolling effects without an LED strip blade, but the current sound boards will simulate it pretty well with the in-hilt high powered LEDs.
