Beautiful etching. Did you use vinyl or press & peel blue?

Hmm, How did you manage to etch it so deep, my P&P starts to peel off after 25 minutes in solution. On brass I barely managed to get a tiny lip in the layers, but it was enough to see the difference in the brass as the underlying brass was a more reddish colour. I am thinking of getting vinyl stencils done for my next etch after this saber.
I am using concentrated salt electrolysis for my etch solution as Iron sulphate costs an arm and a leg here and we can't get the sulphate root kill here. Also getting rid of the stuff is a nightmare.

I actually used ferric chloride with a 2:1 mixture with water for 5 minutes. I'm going to try salt water etching next time. You definitely have more control to do smaller areas with salt water vs. submersion in ferric acid.
