Thread: FOC Color Choice?

  1. #1

    Default FOC Color Choice?

I plan to run parallel red-orange and Amber CREEs to get a nice blade orange.

What color would you use for your FOC LED?

    I am thinking another rO.

Personally I would worry that it wouldn't be noticeable enough. I would do white or even green if it were me.

Green would make it more of a yellowish *as close to film accurate* FOC as possible. White would be very cool as well. It really depends on what you're going for.

I think I will go with green then, thank you.

Does the green require a resistor for FOC if wired with the NB and PEX?

    Yes it does.

Thank you. I will do the math and get it in there.

I come up with a 1 ohm 2 watt resistor for the green.

I take it I wire this direct and not worry about the resistor for the PEX?

I have a red-amber-white with red-amber in parallel for orange (suggested by Yoshi-Taka).
The white is for FOC, and when activated, make a pale/pastel orange blade.
I think "Dreamcicle" for this setup.
