Thread: Li-Ion with NB

    Default Li-Ion with NB

Hey guys! I'm searching around the store trying to put everything together I need in order to convert my stunt saber into one using Nano Biscotte V2. Of course from what I've read, the most efficient power source for the board is an 18650 cell. I like the thought of two possibilities: having a removable, and externally rechargeable (wall recharged) cell. But, since I already happen to have a TrustFire recharger compatible with a 2.1mm jack, and since this exists: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MW...Port-P877.aspx I thought that might be easier.

I am a beginner (ish), so the modular wiring system offering is one I certainly want to take advantage of. If I were to buy the pre-wired NB board w/ harness, what would I have to connect the connectors to? One, of course, goes to the battery. The male connector will go to a female connector in a battery pack, but I'm a little mixed up on what to do the female connector. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That would go to the NB.

Directly to the board? Or one of the attached battery wires?

If the board has the pre-wired harness, there is a connector that the recharge port gets attached to. Look through the manual and you will have a better idea of how the wiring works.

One more question, then I think I have everything I need. Is this http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Li...dule-P672.aspx compatible with this http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/18...der-P886.aspx?

Yes, it is. You just have to pop off the metal pins from the holder (as that is for using batteries like this Trustfire). See the pics below:

If you use the holder in a V6 speaker mount then you also have to sand down the 4 corners just a bit to make it fit.

Perfect. Are the metal pins particularly difficult to pop off? Anything in particular I need?

Nope, not difficult. I just used a small flat head screwdriver and wiggled the pins off. They are bent to grip the plastic, so there isn't much fuss to slide them off.
