Thread: Covertec Knob/D-ring Screw Size

    Default Covertec Knob/D-ring Screw Size

What size screw is used for a covertec knob or a d-ring? I saw in one of the reviews for the d-ring that someone used a 4-40 button head. Is that the right size?

If you look in the description for the Covertec clips, it clearly states that it takes an 8-32 screw. I would imagine that it is similar for the D-Rings. The 4-40 might work for the smaller of the D-rings, but I haven't personally used a smaller D-ring.

Ah. So it does. I had neglected to look there before asking. Thank you.

The reason for my inquiry is that I plan to buy an US Dominix V2 and I want a D-ring rather than the Covertec. I don't have my own drill (plus I'm in college and away from home, so even if I had one I couldn't use it) so I was hoping Emory wouldn't mind drilling the hole for me.

Yeah, that's not a company that should be mentioned in these parts.

I'll keep that in mind. Sincerest apologies.
