    Default MLP: FIM Themed lightsabers

These are "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" themed lightsabers <==plural lol.. What can I say, it was actually pretty dang fun. I still don't get the whole "brony" thing, and I probably will never watch any more MLP, but who am I to criticize fandom? it was fun to dive into foreign territory again and start pointing at things.. there were a lot of things that I could represent, but sticking to these personalities, emphasizing these traits, using these cues, etc.

Fluttershy is the yellow one with a pink mane. She is timid, loves nature & animals, and represents kindness - but with a comically-crazy temper. Applejack is the orange one with blonde mane. She represents loyalty & dependability, and has a southern twang and country cowgirl sensibilities.

I modified Novastar's Magic Saber font with character quotes and an audio montage to the outro theme song; one for each character.

    Video demo (both):

    Fluttershy:

    2x 14670 pack
    Rebel RRW (pink w/red FoC)

    Applejack

    CF v5.10
    Rebel white (w/yellow filter)
    2x 14670 pack

    *Cue Yoshi-Taka freakout*

Good lookin' sabers, E-man. I really dig the shrouds. Those things are just ridiculous, in the best possible way.

    Heheh nice! ^^

Really cool designs - the shroud pieces with the color schemes and little patterns work perfectly!

Thanks, guys! Yoshi helped me with ideas, but I hadn't shown him the finished versions. He's my yard stick to gauge how the rest of the Brony community would like.

Those are very cool. I have a Rainbow Dash saber in the planning stages for the wife, and I think that the font you used will work just as well in hers.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Okay. Real talk. Actual irl screeching throughout most of that video. I was beginning to wonder when I'd see these again.

Yes, my fandom would love them. Although I prefer to use just colour schemes that would match the characters and their personalities, you went far above and beyond that. I'm extremely impressed and glad to be a part of this project (as little as I actually contributed to it). The shrouds and Fluttershy's wing are fantastic touches.
The soundfont made me laugh way too hard. Definitely 100% over the top enough for the universe. I'm working on a soundfont with sounds from the show, so maybe that will give them further options down the line.

    Great job, eastern.

Dang! I've been working on some designs for a set of MLP:FIM sabers. You beat me to it, and with a lot more awesome than I could have. Nicely done.

Also, does Douglas/Spartacus know you made those?

Thanks guys! Yeah, that font was all Novastar, but I enjoyed making the cut sounds and the montage. Yoshi, glad you like them, thanks for your input and help. Awesomesauce. Merik, man, I'm always looking for someone to 1-up me - Do eet! Sparty knows, and he likes them too.
