Default help with Kota saber wanted

It's been a long time since I visited customsaber. I'm building a Rahm Kota costume. Mostly done now.

Problem is the saber. What parts would you recommend from customsaber to make a Kota saber? It looks like Blade Holder 12 and Pommel 8. But the blade holder might be closer to Blade Holder 1 with a custom shroud since the emitter sticks out under the shroud. Then there is that fatter part between the emitter and the main body. What customsaber parts can you suggest to make a Kota saber hilt? Any help would be very much appreciated before I place an order.

I would suggest the bladeholder 1, MHS 8" extension for the main body, with sleeve material for the shroud and raised area around the switch.

Thank you. Looks OK. However, it looks like the main body is narrower than the pommel and emitter ends. The Katana wrap seems to lie flush with the pommel and the business end of the saber. So, perhaps a 1 1/4" sink tube and the relevant adapters might do the trick. Just a thought.

I bought the parts and they arrived today. I will try making the emitter shroud and a sleeve for the switch housing. If I mess that up I have some friends in UK - JQ Sabers - who will make the parts for me.

Can't wait to see the Kota saber and costume. I'm a big TFU fan. =]

Thanks. Here are the saber parts. I still need to make a sleeve for the switch area and a shroud for the emitter, then the Katana wrap of course:

The chestplate is made from EVA then coated with Plastidip and polyester resin:

The arms are again EVA with an ingenious idea to hold them together using slides. This is Rebel Legion's Koda Vonnor's idea. His were machined metal parts. I do not have such luxuries here in Turkey. I had to use wood and cardboard:

The bells: In the background are fiberglass bells. Too heavy. The ones in the foreground are papier mache reinforced with polyester resin and car body filler:

More pics to follow but this is a slow moving project. I hope to have it finished before JediCon2014 in Dusseldorf.

Hello I am new to the forum and I was wanting to build a Rahm Kota Saber as well I just love the look of the saber. I was thinking about the wrap on the hilt to use a synthetic brown leather wrap for baseball bats or bike handle bars the weathering it. Just thought I would help with that.

Here's a pic of what I want mine to look like.

I think most of us would love for our sabers to turn out the way Roland's do

Anyway, looking forward to seeing these Kota sabers when they're completed!
