I get these ideas, for lightshotos and just have to build them. I have also always liked the Lambent Crystal idea from the NJO books. This is one of my concepts as to how an "organic" crystal could look. There is a "window" within the hilt for photosynthesis to be able to take place within the rainbow crystal. Of course, this is a centerpiece idea for this saber. Something organic melded into a technological framework. The hilt is heavily modified MHS with a knurled "clamp" and LDM custom switch plate (1 12mm and 1 16mm..the window in this case). The Aux switch is hidden in the PC'd milled grip. I wanted the hilt to have "layers" and for the devil to be in the details. It has a great topography and adequately matches the multi-ringed BH that I have been sitting on (and has been waiting for just the right hilt to give it life). Hope the folks like it.
