I agree, that is why choose to weather it. Gives it that "not so perfect" look that is so much of what is SW. (Also keep in mind that this was my very first attempt at this.)

Is there a pic with the whole thing assembled together (i.e. with the back end pommel etc...)?

Would you share your weathering technique?

I used combination of things for the weathering. The front emitter and grenade sections are treated with aluminum black the lightly sanded. The booster is powder coated followed by sanding the edges to give a worn look. Then pommel, booster and clamp sections where sprayed with flat black enamel paint. Once the paint was tacky to the touch I wiped it off with a rag and paint thinner leaving some of paint in the grooves and scratches.

Just out of curiosity, I see this Kind of Crystal chamber often, is it one sold at TCSS or one coming with the MKIII? (or am I fully wrong and neither?)

The crystal chambers are hand made. People have been "replicating" Slothfurnace's chamber styles for a while.
