Default The light-foil, my interpretation of a Curved saber

I know I posted this in a couple of other places recently, and thought to show you folks one of my newest builds. I designed this based upon a traditional fencing epee' that I have had in parts drawer for quite awhile. I really got to thinking of hilts and emmiters once Erv announced the Nano-Biscuit with it's dimensions and battery needs. I thought to myself, I wonder really how small and form fitting could I really make a saber and still fit all of the necessary electronics including a recharge port? I threw the project at the engineers in my head and this is the end result. Specs; NB 1.0, 3.7v 14650 tenergy,20mm TCSS bass speaker, Lux 3 bin 4 Amber (looks Orange) Hilt materials , aluminum hex- billet, and a fencing epee'. Custom kill-key, 7/8" blade pocket. Font: Korriban with Palpatine boot.

I thought it amusing that one of my friends said "it looked like the end result if Darth Alice found C3po in need of repair and scrapped the annoying bot to build something useful"

That is totally wicked... a slight steampunk feel but more pure Victorian. The only part that seems out of place is the radius on the bottom of the Covertec knob... but I bet in person you'd never notice it. Excellent saber.

That Saber Is SOOO freakin awesome. We need to see some build pics because how you got a soundboard a battery and an LED into that hilt let alone switches ETC and whatever else you got in there amazes me.

Being a foil & epee fencer in high school, i would have loved to fence with this. It's truely amazing!!!!

Very impressive and original. I like it!
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Very nice. I'm not usually one for curved hilt sabers, but this one is freakin' awesome!

Thanks guys! Actually it wasnt too bad and i really didnt have to employ the skills of cram-fu. Everything just fits very snugly. Also on most of the custom's that I build I generally like to have everything ganged on one control box, which is the last thing to get wired and can be installed last with a bit of creative wire shoving-Not cramming , gentle shoving.
I didnt take many pics of the build in that most of the work was done with various files, which are pretty boring. Here is a pic with the epee chucked into my lathe to turn the front barrel down for the 2 piece emmiter/blade holder combination
