mhs chassis help
Hi all
Since my last post I have decided to use the mhs chassis system.
I have assembled the parts and they look like this:

They don't fit inside of my hilt

Thank you for your help

Make your life a little easier pick up some of this: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Br...tube-P771.aspx and use it as spacers so you only have one nut on each rod to tighten. You can cut the stuff with an Xacto saw and mitre box, so no power tools if you don't have any, then a little filing of the rough edges and Voila! Agree with FJK on the keeping the nut inside the radius of the chassis disk.

Yeah, those nuts look big. If you get the ones from the shop here, it'll work fine. Speaker holder will be snug.

Youngling
You may also be able to get aluminum "spacers" at a local hardware store. If they can take 4-40 threaded rod, they should be fine. The reason I suggest this is that it can be a bit difficult to get your spacers cut right, especially if you've never done it before. Buying spacers that are already cut will ensure that they're all the same length.
You will also want to make sure no part of the wiring touches either the rod or the spacers. I would hate to see you get all that work done and have the board short out on you.
