pulled it apart and repainted the lower shroud part. didn't want to do the same thing as the upper part so i went with more of an aquamarine marbling pattern. the pommel is staying that color though.

i thought i would too, but after carrying it around for a week or so, it just didn't do it for me.

Sorry I haven't been able to post until now Az. But I am very impressed with your painting skills. First a wood look and now marble. I really like this one better than the wooden one. I guess next will be a water look? Once again, great job.

There is no way that is marble. First, with the average saber dimensions (being 10"), a saber made of marble would weight approximately 20lbs. Second, the bottom half is the same (at least in cut) as the pictures at the beginning of the thread.
