Your modeling skills are coming along just fine. But I think you need help with lighting. your current setup doesn't show off much of the work you are putting in, which is a shame. you may try some radiosity or occlusion, or even more than one source of lighting. I think that will make things pop for you.

man dude! this is coming along incredible!!!! wonderfull work! man next to simple star destroyer this is GIGANTIC!

in the book death troopers they made the star destroyer seem HUGE. imagine this thing. it would be like a continent!!!!

is this project just for fun or what? i think you need to add in the interior to. all the hallways and utilities. down to the refresher units.

I really would like to add the interiors, but it would get kinda laggy due to the amount of polys. When I get better comp, I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks for the feedback!

they're just so beautiful and the same time they are scary, complex, they're fast, and they carry Stormtroopers and Sith Lords. (lol?)

    Exclamation Command Bridge Update!

    Update time!!

I modeled some detail to the Command Bridge.

    It's Über-Ultra-Mega-Super-High Poly. (15 000 polygons without shield generators.)

    Whole Bridge

Little more from front, showing the Control Room

Little more from side, behind (The back of the bridge is WIP.)

    Other side, behind

    That's it for now.

Thanks to Blue Fox for the lighting tip!

    Just a quick rendering test.

I will od all my renders like this from now on.

Thanks to Blue Fox for the "Clay" render idea!

Things are coming along nicely. I've got another quick tip for you on your renders. I assume you're using light tracer with a skylight to get your clay style render. That's what I do whenever I do a test render. Instead of using a gray material I would switch it to a white material, that will help with differentiating shadows from the rest of the model. Plus I never use a black background, I would change it to either a medium to light gray or white.
