Tri-Rebel w/ Royal Blue and Red, in a Saberforge blade. Need a stronger resistor for red. Right now it's a janky, bad setup that I won't show a picture of for pride's sake.

Shoot. I was hoping the celophane would work. I've got the green LEDs started a little bit, and they are tons brighter (obviously), so I just think it's the rating of the pink LEDs that is sub par....
Hello again,
My last reply made all these promises of "tomorrow I will do this," but the pre-Halloween shopping and post-Halloween hangover took precedence. :)

That is what I ended up...
Correct. I knew it was 2A from looking at the PC 3.0 manual. Each LED listed a 20mA draw, so 100 should have been possible, and I had about 90. I think it's just the LED's now, myself. 2000-6000...
I'll measure later tonight. I've misplaced my good digital multimeter, and I need to buy a new one.
I was unaware the current setting had an unlimited setting. I have the PC 1.0 manual on a uSD...
Hello all,
I've been working on "upgrading" one of my LED sabers to use a removable LED string blade. I'm using a PC 1.6 with 7.4V, and have ~90 LEDs set up in a series-parallel setup (~45 in...
Alright, these guys are getting painful to work with. All the LED's work, but the purple won't shine for more than 2 seconds. I get it for a split second right on the line for the red's saturation....
The LEDs are wired in parallel using potentiometers. I'm figuring I should switch to just using 3 pronged slide switches, so it's just on-off, no resistance to deal with.

Alright, so with the lowest setting on the potentiometers for the red and blue LEDs, and green cut off, I get a hot pink shade. I realize the purple shade I posted last was terrible, so I took...
Alright, that will hopefully fix it then. Right now I have the config file at 56, and it seems SO close to getting the Red to light with the blue. I'll post the current picture in this post, and if...
I did it! The royal blue is beautiful. And the diffusion with the 18 degree lense almost seems to work better; at least the blue seems to have less contrast between emitter end amd the tip. The only...
I may just end up gluing the lense on. My only concern now is how much light is lost in the space between the lense and the lower lip of the blade holder. With triple the lumens coming in, you could...
Really? I would assume you bought the same lense I did; my lense fits nicely, but it doesn't exactly snap on. And so what I meant is that vertically there's some space I need to fill so the lense...
So Jay, funny story that I'm hoping you may have a fix for, if not I'll be thinking of some spacer ideas.
The 18 degree collimators are about half the height of the ones sold on the TCSS store. With...
Sorry Strydur. I wasn't aware of the linking policy on the forums.
And I guess I had the degree of the viewing angle backwards Silver Serpent. But still I find it VERY hard to believe a 700 lumen...
So recently I visited the actual site for the LEDs, (wrong) , and I found something very intriguing. I have a white LED from TCSS in my second saber right now, and it's satisfyingly bright . . ....

I call it Harmony (my second saber, Chaos, is in progress)
MHS pieces with embossing tape in the main body portion and the blade holder. Adding 1" by 3/16" o-rings to the gaps later. ...
Hello,
I'm currently in the final "This goes here, and that goes. . . what the hell?" stages of building my second lightsaber, Chaos, to go with the sister-saber Harmony. One problem.
The PC...
That explains the last of my problems, and yes, I was getting confused, haha. It'd been a long day, so the idea of adjusting voltage and adjusting resistance to fit my needs got fudged up.
That...
So I can use the drivers (because I am more than just the so-called "guerrilla dueler") to make things look purdy. Awesome.
Question though: What was the verdict on the 5v r? Because I both...
So, my basics electronic info before I ask my question:
7.2 NiMH battery pack w/ recharge port
Green Rebel Star (700 mA)
2006 MR Obi-Wan sound board
Latching illuminated switch
Should/Can I...
I'll have to look into a thread on taking the MR apart too.
Thank you for the input. I had a feeling from the get-go with my lightsaber quest that my MR Obi-Wan would contribute some way...
I'm buying the internals to my first saber from TCSS soon, with the rest of the external pieces arriving tomorrow. As far as I can tell reading on sound boards *everywhere*, the US 2.5 and CF...
