Wickedly nice.
Well I was able to order the main external parts right around Black Friday. They have arrived and I am working on making a multi piece drill guide in 3dsMax so all the holes will line up. Am also...
I got a 3d printer last year and have been slowly working on designing crystal chamber parts for my build which I just ordered $140 in external parts for.
I have seen some of the video reviews of the these sabers and it's a neat gimmick to just swap out the crystals to change blade colors. I personally am more interested in the holocrons than a...
Your hilt length isn't that long if you ask me. You want to be able to weild your saber comfortably. I personally and waiting for the funds to be such that I can resume work on my hilt which if I'm...
Your link in the last post worked for me on my cellphone. Very nice work on the hilts.
One heck of an awesome saber. I can only hope that mine turns out to be even a fraction as good when I can afford to get it done.
That is good news about them sending you a replacement not so much that you have to wait to get it in the mail. Good luck with the replacement board.
I can only echo those who have already said to check the other saber forums out there and add read the manual several times over. From what I saw just on the first couple pages of the English manual...
Thanks to all for posting this. I was also wondering about how to get them screwed in when I can build my hilt.
I walk the middle ground neither Jedi or Sith. The force guides my use of abilities.
That is for the ground wire only on the The CFv9, working with a v8 myself and have the "y" for ground wire from the board to both switches (testing with tactile momentary at the moment).
EDIT:...
I think that a mat would be very helpful while prepping or repairing/modifying a saber. Maybe have call outs on the mat as to where an item is best soldered to the board for newer users to the...
Sorry for getting back to this so late. I am using the Cree XM-L in Crystal Focus setup. The lens and lens holder I purchased from TCSS. I will only say where I ordered the LED from via private...
While toying with the USB and wires for mine I discovered that the two wire pads on the USB were reversed to what my CFv8 was but it was an easy fix, I had two choices of which the easiest was to...
Have you tried another USB port? The USB port maybe bad. I maybe very wrong about the port being bad but it could happen.
I don't recall what the driver I'm using for my non-premade rice cable is.
The Crystal Focus is the top of the line of the Plecter Labs sound cards.
I agree that it would be nice to have some of the chassis parts in the builder.
Finally got it to work right. I thought I had it on the right pad for the control wire from my CFv8 and boy was I wrong. Thanks Avidgrant for recommending a all new wire and Zook for helping me out...
Now I'm totally stumped. I've got CEx back in late June and yesterday rewired everything with all brand new 30 gauge wire and my LED's green die is still not working. I've tried all the possible...
I have to say the pouches look great. In the past I've hand stitched several leather pouches.
Speaking from experience the 2512 smd resistors can be a pain to solder onto the CFv8.
Well I finally came back to the board to check things and my volt meter shows no signal is coming from the pads that my green die hook to. I get signal to all the pads leading from my CFv8 and from...
I'll try to rewire the whole sha-bang after I get home in the morning. I really hope that I didn't screw something up when I wired it up yesterday.
I just got my Color Xtender in today's mail and I'm afraid I may have already screwed something up. I wired it up to my CFv8 as described in the manual. Channels 2 & 4 to the CEX but my green which...
