You may be able to re-tap the hole with a bigger thread. I have gone up to the 10-32 thread on the blade holder screw for my Anakin, to make it more, "duelable"

I have purchase several of these "Pro-Light" Leds. I've never been happy with the quality of the light, brightness, or how long they last. I've used them in several PVC Sabers, (3W prolights) and...
You are going to have to give a lot more information for that.
What are you doing, a conversion?
Are using a TCSS Conversion kit, or just converting useing a stock blade holder?
Are you using rechargeable AA's?
If so then your multimeter is reading correct, they are only 1.2v's per cell. With a full charge, could be putting up that 2.6v's.
I used the TCSS Conversion Kit, and White Lux III with Magical magenta Lee filter

Arm on Fire's entry is by Far my FAVORITE!!!
Kal El Rah has the second one.
one down, one to go gentlemen, and ladies.
Well if anyone wants one of the two I have, i'll "give it to you" just for the cost of shipping, seriously no joke....Just email me at
bjall4jc@yahoo.com
If I'm not suppose to do that,...
both of mine have minor scracthes, in the machined out dimples...
Does anyone need a couple of those? Not trying to sell, Just offering for shipping cost.
Got my grab bag today, and I have to say I'm mostly happy. I am a bit confused about a few of the parts I got though. One of the parts I got looks like a Garlend EL adapter, but isn't the same as...
I have. I tried the same set up with a lux III Cyan (bin 1), and Lux III blue, and I just got the lux 3 White I'm going to try it this morning some time. All of the tests so far, the heatsink gets...
Will it matter that the one I have melted off the and I had to soldier it back, its not a very pretty soldier job.
Well, I'm just trying to figure out where to go from here. Tim, you are awesome, and I don't want to be a pain to you, but I know I can't use this LED.
Nope, don't have a lower power buck puck. I have an adjustable current supply at work. I can set the voltage and current separately. I set the current at 350ma, and the voltage at 3.29v(closest to...
I do. I have a lux 3 green and a lux 3 red. Both are using copper heatsinks. No trouble whatsoever.
I did however try this for the first time. I put the P4 on the copper heatsink, then put it...
I have three separate buck pucks. I have tried the P4 on all three. Same results. The heatsink gets extremely hot.
Raises Hand.
I'm one of those two people. I'm not using a copper heatsink, I'm using an aluminum one.
I'm using a standard 1000ma buckpuck, 4xAA rechargable batteries (duracell 2650ma @ 1.2v...
Ok, so I went with the calculations and used the 3.3Ohm 1/2Watt resistor with a 4.5V battery pack. I put in fresh batteries and the Green Lux Star 1W is so dim, I can look directly at it, and see...
Pre-twist your wires if you have to screw the different pieces together with quick connects. I've broken more than one wire set up, screwing two pieces together and the wires twisting up to tight.
Ok. Sorry for the confusion. I have ask two different questions and I confused myself with your answers.
As far as the Red Lux III-Yes Novastar, I understand.
As far as the 1W's-Thanks endori,...
Um, 1A is going to be way too much. I'm working with 1W's here. Also, the micropucks that are designed for the for 350ma are rated at a max of 3v's.
I'm running 6v and 4.5v battery packs.
I'm not...
I'm still having trouble here. I can't afford the micropucks. So I'm back to resistors.
I want to use 6v supply, with 350ma current on LED's with 3.42Vf. According to my math and help from the...
One last question.
Which would be better/brighter. Running a Red Lux 3 with 4xAA batteries and a 1000ma buckpuck, or direct driving with just 2xAA?
