i'm not so sure that applies to threaded tubes at roughly the same size as the bar, which is also threaded... but the sink tube making it lighter is a plus.
if you're using an MR board, you'll have a constant 3.5V 1000-1200mA coming off of the LED wires on it. to cut that back to a level that won't explode your red P4, you need either a 1 ohm or 1.2 ohm...
sorry for the double post, but here's a quick update. talking to slothfurnace about wood, weathering, and metal, i decided to do some extra detailing. i needed to redo the wood grip part anyway, so i...
very nice. i'm jealous of the fact that you can get matte clear coat, but i'll survive. ^_^ it looks rather short - what's the length?
going from 1.2 ohm to 1.5 ohm will be a step of roughly 150-250mA - that's enough to fry your red P4 if you're unlucky. i highly recommend using the 1.5 ohm indicated.
as for the LEDs, i recommend...
i like it, but watch out for people with leaf blowers.
i would have to call this a get rich quick scam. he's using things that SHOULD be common knowledge and will likely charge something later for the 'secrets' that he's sharing.
his logic of...
i'll take one of those too! ^_^
/squeels with glee! ^_^ i can't wait to get it in there and have it running! which do you think will get here first? your board or the LED strapped to a dolphin?
i had to use a bit of padding, but everything fits fairly nicely.
which i have also pinned my hopes of on January. ^_^
ok, instead of starting a new thread for every question, please try to stick to one thread. this question is also probably answered on the econo thread that nearly a dozen people have recommended to...
what's with all the electrical tape?
i also remember him saying that he expected some in soon (i assume samples for testing etc...) a week or two ago. either way, i'm pinning my hopes on a full restock of everything on sometime in...
welcome! ^_^ and thank you for the good impression. i like me some board lurkers trying to learn by reading and lurking. ^_^
very nicely done. simple and elegant as they should be. i love that BH too.
speaking of blade diffusion... do you think these disks could be used to play poker with?
^_^ seriously though, i'm of the mind that a nice 'kit' with varying sizes of spacing tube or pipe would...
read this post and watch the videos - they teach you a lot about soldering and all that.

11.25" - a little shorter than some, but it feels VERY good in hand.
no you don't need the regulator. the NiMH will put out a level that's ok with the econo boards.
spent too much time around loud equipment i guess... they sound fairly similar in several aspects to me... though the number of clash sounds is good to know. ^_^ thanks.
finally got some more parts in. first off i want to say that Tim did an AWESOME job of creating the sliding mechanism thingy that i could barely describe. it came out perfect and everything fits...
then i highly recommend you start at the top of the forums and read EVERY stickied thread. they're stickied for a reason. for you to learn from.
the resistor chart is here.

just leave out the buckpuck and put in the resistor that the chart tells you to use based on the color of...
