I'd pay good money for boxes with pre-threaded holes for 12mm switches...
Make sure your SD card didn't get ejected.
What brand cutter did you get? I have a design I've adapted but my Silhouette uses *.studio files and I don't think I have the original...
From the "Commonly used Drill bits, taps, and measurements" thread in the "General hilt building" sub-forum:

Some people get concerned when someone mentions using aluminum (or other metal) tubing as a chassis component. I think the same people tend to forget (somehow) that all chassis are placed within a...
Beautiful work, DM! If I may ask, which cutter are you using? I picked up a Silhouette Portrait a while back and, while impressive, I don't get the tiny detail I really want.
Yup, will be fine. That's a standard 1.45" OD piece. Check out the first pic in one of my builds here: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?16012-Cyprium-Shadow-A-Dark-Jedi-Saber
Check out "snap ring pliers". They can be a pain though, especially if you get the combination versions (internal and external, with swappable "heads"). These tend to flex at just the wrong time......
You may want to try a few different ones (or a potentiometer) until you get the right "buzz". I've done a few and running them at full power tends to make a buzzing sound that can be heard even over...
While I agree about the concern in some ways over licensing issues, if Tim can safely sell visual replicas of Graflex flashguns, along with the parts needed to make it into a replica saber, I imagine...
The purpose of the recharge port (if wired correctly) is allow power from the battery to the soundboard (any soundboard) when nothing is inserted; provide recharge power to the battery when a charger...
I was in a similar position a couple years back, I needed a brass switch with a white ring. A "Solo" friend of mine was able to sand it down with the help of his amazing machine shop and sent one to...
Speaking as an IT guy, ^THIS^. Too much can actually be detrimental to heat dissipation. Plus it's just messy...
I use Gorilla Glue Gel for switch caps. A very tiny dot will hold amazingly and the gel doesn't get everywhere. Also dries very fast.
Very nice work! I really like the orientation of the board, it's cool to see something other than the typical flat designs.
Aoyue 937+ here, best $60 my wife ever spent on me. :)

I use a band saw and belt sander to clean up / square off the ends. Just a note when using power tools like this: if you are manipulating a very small section, like under an inch or two, use a scrap...
Nice chamber, clean. I really like the removable cover for the reveal!
Actually, I think there is some confusion of terms here. OP, the $9 heat sink you are referring to isn't a service, but the actual heatsink module for the LED:...
YES! (Now back to your regularly scheduled saber discussion.)
I just... I'm pretty sure those three words have never once been put together, in that order, in the whole of human language.
;)
I don't know of any apps by name, but I have heard of people using apps/services that notify you when a web page has changed. Simply point one of them at the TCSS product page and viola!
EDIT: Or...
If it's anything like the previous "econo" boards, 3.7 is probably the way to go if you want Li-ion. Otherwise, use Ni-MH rechargeables (4 x 1.2v) or alkalines (3 x 1.5v). Beyond that, if you choose...
Actually, according to the NB sale page, it's 0.73". The only place I could find a definite answer on choke bore size is on the "chassis disk style 2 with holes" sale page, it states 0.8". If this is...
