problem solved -- I had deleted the "extras" folder in the main directory.
I have been tweaking an old saber build with new fonts and colors using a CFX. In the process somehow I now cannot access the system menu to change color profiles etc. I can't even hear the voice...
I found the part I needed. It is a mosfet to prevent reverse polarity: part number DMP1045UQ-7
I managed to damage the voltage regulator (came off the board) and am hoping to resolder a new one on. The chip is labeled 15P NH. Any chance someone can share the specs on this?
So I got back to it tonight. A test of the resistor and visual inspection showed it was obvious that the resistor was the source of the problem. I replaced it and voila. I also changed the wiring out...
I tried removing the first LEDs on both strips with no luck on getting either to fire up individually or together. I did this twice just to be sure.
I inspected the entire strips and see no shorts...
Good idea. I just desoldered each LED strip separately but still nothing for either one. Darn it! I will try cutting off the first LED on each strip and trying again. After that, I will remove the...
Thank you!!
The saber is a Crystal Focus Sound Module X (Oct 2019 purchase), using the DM Sony Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 15A 3120mAh PCB Protected Rechargeable Battery, 28 gauge wire, Wired up per...
The battery is definitely the first stop on this troubleshooting. Agree with Light Bringer -- could be more happening.
Definitely a challenge. There will always be some "editing" of the material when you try to combine different species. Short of machining your own parts or 3D printing them to fit, it will take some...
This is my third neopixel build using TCSS neopixel strips (2) and the wiring setup posted by TCSS. I have wired and re-wired this setup and cannot get the blade to work in either of the other two...
Yep. I just bridge the pad with a short piece of wire and use a "normal"-size resistor inline with the LED wiring. I am just learning as I go. Thank goodness for YouTube. I never soldered before I...
I figured it out. I did not bridge the pads.
I am a little confused on how to have an accent led flash while the Saber is on. I have read and re-read the CF10 manual and scoured through the RICE tutorial and could use some guidance.
I have two...
Not sure I completely follow but I have rejuvenated several soldering irons by lightly sanding with 300 to 1000 grit sandpaper (whatever I had handy). Takes less than 10 seconds. If it doesn't...
After sleeping on this problem I decided to try the other two sound banks -- and no problem... something is up with bank 1 -- both the other two worked beautifully..
As this is my first saber -- I have no problem building out what I need to learn how to build the next one better. :-)
Is there a more powerful battery pack you can recommend?
I'm new to this but have gotten my PC 3.5 up and running with two auxillary momentary (12 mm green and a red ring) switches and tri-rebel star (RGB) running off of a 7.4v Li-ion 800mAh 14500 Battery...
Yes! That did it. I reset the board and voila.. Thank you!!!
Thanks -- it's fun to work on this -- and glad there are people out there to help clarify when us newbies get confused!
I only mentioned the color extender as that wiring is clear to me.
In...
I have read the PC 3.5 manual and cannot understand the wiring difference between setting up FOC vs color mixing if you're not using the color extender. Eventually I will buy one, but inventory is...
