That is just fantastic. The etching looks great, and I love the flat temper proof screws holding the panels on.

Chewbacca on FX is also known as Zook here at TCSS. You can PM him on these forums, but your account may be too new. Photos of your board and LED star will help.
You want to use the smallest heatshrink that will actually fit over your wire connection. Remember 26 gauge is the size of the metal bits of the wire, and has nothing to do with the thickness of the...
I modified my boot sound to say "This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight Not as clumsy or random as a blaster an elegant weapon for a more civilized age"
I used the article on the Plecter labs site.
I own the originals (and the SE full screen and widescreen on VHS, and the DVDs and the Blu-Rays...), but no longer own a VHS player. 8-(
You could get parts powder coated with brass (brass color?).
I'll have to remember to watch it tonight. YT is blocked by work.
nice etching.
I've love to see your internals.
Spectacular. Truly fantastic.
All madcow's videos are worth your time. Both the TCSS tutorial ones, and his Genesis Custom Saber ones (keep a towel handy to wipe up the drool).
The V6 holder is covered in the Basic saber with sound tutorial.
Nice suggestion. I used part of a ballpoint pen.

Every time I've tried using enameled wire, I've managed to nick it along the run, leading to the potential for a short. It's also a pain to sand off.
The sinktube blade holders have lipless versions. I didn't look close enough to see if there is a 1.25" version.
Love the use of the Lego hinge.
Great job.
I've seen reports of LEDs out of China being GRB instead of RGB. Plecter Labs is from France, maybe the LEDs Erv grew up with differed in the default order? (just guessing)
including an interview with Designer Roger Christian on how he built the original Graflex sabers. Should be of interest to this crowd.

Greenie,
This is just fantastic. I took an electronics sabbatical over the holidays and missed the original post. I especially like the core. Good job.
I think you've gotten all the answers you are looking for, but ...
Plecter Labs has a comparison table of all their boards.
It is possible to have a recharge port hidden inside your hilt, although it does make it less convenient. As you mentioned, you will have to expose it for charging. You will also need a super low...
