I second Spiritchaser's post! My saber has that exact LED setup with the third die set as white. This is the best LED mixture I have yet to see for a yellow. I've tried a LEDEngin and a Tri-Rebel RGB...
I believe it is actually louder than the bass. You actually described it nicely, it is a crisper sound quality. While it doesn't have that extra kick that the bass speaker provides, it provides its...
I've tried both speakers with the CF 7 and in my opinion the premium speaker is the way to go.
Presenting a new build blasting its way off my bench:

Probably my biggest cram-fu challenge to date! However, a few minor...
Time for a well deserved progress report!
The blocky and aesthetically unpleasing Denix logo (and text)....is no more!

Cool! Simple yet Sithy. :)
Stunt saber or sound?
So as much as I love my original DL-44, I decided I'm ready to upgrade to something a little more realistic. Therefore, I'm currently working on a Denix based DL-44 blaster. (WOO-HOO!)
Now I'm no...
Nope. I'm not that first guy Tim. :) Email sent.
I have a 7" main body piece and a internal system made with TCSS chassis parts. The chassis WILL NOT fit inside at all. I've done a ridiculous amount of sanding both inside the part and on the...
Go to the "Contact Us" button at the top of the store homepage. From there you can send a message to Tim and explain what it is you would like made. You can even send him a link to a drawing of your...
I would like to post this video I made today in response to this thread. This shows two of my sabers with custom internals that utilize chassis parts from TCSS. One is for a standard MHS saber and...
I'm looking to possibly getting one of these boxes from the store.

Here's my question. Does anyone know how...
Yes indeed. :) My saber has a yellow blade so I called it "Aurea", which is Latin for golden.
Look at a distinct characteristic or feature your saber has and perhaps you can come up with an idea...
Here's a pic of that MHS chassis I was talking about.

An Arduino, the Uno at least, can run fully off a 7.4 volt Li-Ion. You might be able to run it in parallel with the soundboard. Arduinos don't use that much current, depending on your application....
Could you build an IR receiver circuit to be a switch, then use it as your Aux button on a Plecter Board?
Here is a chassis I recently built for a Graflex saber.

That being the case, a 7.4V 18500 pack would be a great compromise.
Here today to unveil a very exciting project. Presenting my:

Good idea and you're very welcome! Best of luck and be sure to let us know how you made out with your build!
Well yeah. Single Rebel will only use one LED and the Tri will use two. Here's the catch. Using the single Rebel, your entire current output goes to the one blue LED. Using the Tri-Rebel, the current...
Ohhhhhhh. In that case, that Graflex holder won't work. It was meant for a vintage or replica flash handle, not MRs or Hasbros. That being the case, scratch half of what I said.
However the...
If you want, you can go with a Tri Rebel GGW. I hooked one up with the two green LEDs in parallel to a Nano once. The results were very nice!
