First I can't believe I missed this one from one of the GREAT hand shroud builders of our era!.. Once more just a terrific build with wonderful symmetry and flow.. Just perfect with the T cut out (to...
Awesome job on this one!!!
Why no charge pins?
(And yeah I feel for ya on the box... I actually built one of these for a costume and have similar box issues) :/

One day I'm sure...
Wonderful saber.. Thanks for sharing!
If your using JST clips put the resistor on the LED side of the clip. Then if at some point you want to swap out the unit for a different color you don't have to do a tear down to recalculate your...

ALL the blade holders are now "New Style" so don't let that part of the description mess with you (old style was a few years...
I think that came out terrific! I like how the wings of the etching frame the switchbox.. Wonderful execution and +1 for pushing yourself to try something new.. Great job!
Are they unprotected cells to start with? (Maybe its a dumb question)
I would remove and clean everything. Then check to be sure each individual battery is good to go (at 4.2 full charged) before...
Ahhh I had no idea using the Nano as a sink could cause the unintended motion detection... (That's why I preface what I say with the fact that Im really not a pro and just have a suggestion to look...
I'm no pro with the Nano v2 but.. I know there are some settings called...
Maybe "drive" and "fdrive" <- something like that
If you look in the Nano manual it explains that if your using an led...
Terrific job on this!

First.. Welcome to the forums and to your first steps into the greater world of saber building!

Next I would challenge you to build your saber in the...
Unless you plan to use a PC3 (and RICE) which is overkill on this project because your building a FULL color changer just to get pink.. I would just use the RRW (and resistor method).
In this way...
You did a wonderful job on this shroud!
TIP:
To reduce the appearance of vertical scratches (the up and down ones along the edges) and to return the piece to more of a brushed finish, use steel...
Always remember to plan for wires as well so don't plan the build around those exact numbers (add some buffer room for yourself)
Lookin good!
That's a wonderful build!!
I think it flows really really well and I just love the reveal section.. I love the shroud work, the subtle coloring, and the detail you put into the planning (it paid...
Terrific saber!
IMHO these days...
It's simply not beneficial to reflow your own LED's... (sure if you want to try to make a custom Quad but your always going to be restricted by your lens solution)
A guy...
You could possibly try testing the LED on the switch using a x2 pack (and standard remote batteries.. 1.5v x2 = 3v).. 3v shouldn't blow out the Tcss (green) av switch led. This way you can isolate...
Its always special when you make a saber for a loved one. Terrific build! (way to go thinking outside the box with the switches)
Your going to be absolutely fine.. With your artistic eye and constantly positive point of view.. Your more then fine (and more then welcome). Enjoy
Haha I know this guy (were darkside brothers), There is indeed great knowledge here but there are also some hard lessons here as well.
So.. Welcome to the TCSS forums.. The single greatest shared...
This thread is full of win! Great saber btw!
