Some more Classic Outer Snitz from the Snitz Limits:

There is nothing wrong with your Television Snitz , do not Snitz the picture, we are Snitzing the Transmission. If we wish to Snitz it louder we will Snitz up the Volume if we wish to Snitz it softer we will Snitz it to a wisper. We will Snitz the Horizontal, we will Snitz the Vertical, we can roll the Snitz, make it flutter, we can change the Snitz to a soft blur or sharpen it to Crystal Clarity. For the next hour Snitz quietly for we will Snitz all that you see and hear. We Repeat there is nothing wrong with your Televison Snitz. You are about to participate in a great adventure to experience the Snitz and mystery that reaches from the Inner Snitz to the Snitz Limits.

Here is some snitz.

I take the girls to Taco Bell to get our lunch and I make my order through the Drive-Thru and when I get to the window the display says I owe $850.00 I told the girl I was big but I couldn't eat all that. She just looked confused and waited for me to give her the money. I guessed that it was just bugged or needed a good reboot so I give her my card. The manager comes over and says it will be about 30 to 45 minutes for the food and could I come inside. So now I thinking we have a problem. Turns out that the girl somehow rang up my order like 50 times or something and they thought that was real

I told them they were out of their dang mind and made sure that the card didn't process cause ya know if they take that much out I am screwed come time to make a truck payment or something.

Just insane man. I asked them if it was even slightly normal for someone to come up to the Drive-Thru to order 800 dollars worth of food and they were like it was no big deal.

Actually... it happens. Even more so at Wendy's where I worked. They liked to come to Wendy's because of all the dollar menu stuff. They'd never rack up anything too high because they were smart with their ordering, but I've seen 20 burgers, fries and chilis at a time. If that were a combos it'd easily reach a couple hundred.

NOW THAT"S FUNNY!

I have heard it called that quite a bit but for the employees to do it is a trip.
I thought that they normally did that too but just figured that it was lunch time, Had 10 cars in front of me and 10 behind me so they were just in go mode. And of course I am sure everyone has gone through the Drive-Thru at least once and seen the LED display either doing the number dance or showing strange amounts, maybe it is just my luck but I can think of four times I have seen that right off the top of my head. Twice at one location in Northern Virginia, once in Pasadena, Maryland, and now here.

I remember when I was in marching band back in school and we would pull the buses in for food but we normally did the individual thing, but I reckon if you totalled it all up it would get on up there.

The girls have asked me if they can go for lunch there again today  I will let y'all know how it goes http://www.vadriven.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I had a 4.4 and a 3.75 unweighted. I was 20th percentile of 600. Not #20, but 20% This was a public school too. I wasn't slacking either... I came out of HS with over 20 college credits.

Well I was going to post this anyways because I thought it was kind of funny, but following that.... all I can say is, Hmmm...

In an email I just got:

TO ALL THE KIDS
WHO SURVIVED the
1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank koolade made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because...

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING !

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms....... WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with
sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law
was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever! The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

If YOU are one of them . . . CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good...

And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:

With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks,Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?

james3
10-20-2006, 11:37 AM
Firebird I am glad you pulled that out. I have seen it before and think it is wonderful.

Jay Leno is awesome. I think the idea of just trying to change it is insane. Should we change our money too? I bet that the people whining so dang much have no problems with getting a handful of in god we trust!

Anywho, I am pretty pissed off that she is out on bail untill Nov. 30th or so. That is just total Bullsnitz! I am glad that they are not going in to more detail as it is just horrible. And no emotion about it? That just pisses me off.

Just wait until the optic holder slips and cuts that gummy dome. Then ask that question. :P

Mine was as simple as when I was unscrewing the MHS, the optic holder shifted, slid, and cut the dome with the optic.
I admit that I can't remember the cause for Ambo's but being that he was back home visiting family, it was probally hardcore gorilla dualing as you put it.

Dang xwing, between wonky, buttered toast, and gorilla dualing you are just rockin out the terms bud. Firebird, needs to step it up  Although, his kitchen aid was pretty cool.

xwingband
11-07-2006, 09:23 AM
I've noticed sometimes the optics fit tight and pop off so I always push on the optic as I unscrew the emitter with my other hand. Saves you from brutalizing an LED.

james3
11-07-2006, 09:25 AM
 If it can be done it will. That is my normal stance in life. Murphy kicks my arse pretty often. Heck, the real estate market has been on fire for years and soon as I put a house on the market it dies  Just one of those deals. That is why I stick with the standard Lux's, nice hard dome.

Yep, me too. However you have no way to control if it slips or not.

Problem of course is that you really have to decide if the trade off is worth it. I for one don't really think so but if there were no 5 watters I may have a different opinion.

xwingband
11-10-2006, 11:27 AM
I just need to solder... it hasn't gone anywhere because I just haven't taken the time. This winter break I'm not doing anything.

I'm going to do a pure all out saber time. :) I need to finish the clear saber, add sound to my initiate, Graflex saber, Ani conversion and Styrene saber. I have just about all the parts for them now.

If I still have time then I'll finish my blaster and I have this atlas LED to play with. I have another RGB to use but I don't really have enough parts for a hilt to house it yet. I have enough electronics though...

Why the heck do you keep posting these dang topics? What in the heck do they have to do with TCSS?

Every month or so you do one of these and they are questions suited for forums for that stuff. It is the same as going in to a gardening forum and asking everyone how to determine how deep a foundation to make for a high rise.

Ambo most likely will not be back on here. Quite honestly he is sick and tired of as he put it "Know-it-all Teeney Boppers and 20 somethings".

I had originally typed up a real long message on this but at the end of the day y'all don't give a snitz, so life goes on and we now post under the fear of anything we post will get deleted, edited, or executed.

I sure am glad it's almost ski season.

No offense is meant but you all know what is going over a line. Normal ribbing has passed into down right contempt when others post.

In real life if you treated people the same way you might expect to get in a fist fight. If they were at work, you might get fired because of it.

I like you guys but you darn near bully the forum around sometimes. Just keep it cool and let others play in the sandbox that is lightsaber building. :)

The dang sad part of it is that NOBODY watches Monty Python movies anymore otherwise NONE of this would have gotten to this point.http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_huh.gif

It's ok though, Pittsburgh beat their biggest rivals, Jimmie Johnson won the championship which made my boy happy and the Ravens smoked another one to make my boy even more happy.
And I had a blast yesterday.

So, anyone want to but a house in Richmond area? Tim wants more of my money!

I was posting an explanation to my post as it being a joke, but by the time I got done with the smiley’s and Spell Check and making sure it was 100% clear and to the point... It was locked. :(

And for the record...

Maul...

I DO NOT DISLIKE YOU. If I didn't like you I'd ignore you completely. Any ribbing you get from me is not supposed to be taken literally. If you (or anyone) are offended by ANYTHING I say, PM me and let me know. I am not an ass, I don't like to yell at anyone, I don't like to make anyone feel unwanted or uncomfortable. So if at any time you feel this way, let me know. I will do my best to rectify the situation.

Sooooooooooooo getting back to the snitz
I went up to jackson hole, WY this weekend for a sumo wrestling tournament. It was a charity event for my wife's place of employment. Rather good time. Sumo wrestlers are rather violent to each other it turns out. They had 3 divisions: lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight... the heaviest of which was a bloke who was about 5'9" and pressed the needle down to about 440.
The open tournemant was the most fun to watch, however, several of the smaller guys taking on the larger ones were picked up upsidedown and carried out of the ring. Quite a hoot.

Dude! What a trip! I can just imagine how cool that would be to see in live action.

I think the most violent bit was when the two heaviest heavyweights were going at each other for the first round one of them palm heeled the other in the face... He was bleeding for the rest of the night and would mop himself up between rounds. Took a huge chunk out of his lip.
It was definately a good time. I also met two of the sumo wrestlers that will be featured in a scene from oceans 13 that will be released some time in the not too distant future. One of them was only 17, but a bruiser at about 6' and 390.

Ok theres to many posts to go thru but one really cought my attention.

I twas about the "Buy a chevy and use the e85ethanol".

Fords have it as do alot of other flex fuel vehicles/companys.

But heres my point about e85, its cheaper than regulat pertol, colder than regulat but it burns faster and cleaner.

So basicly the the extra cheaper cents your spending on are burning faster than that regulat petrol thats a few cents more.

So it comes down to this.

If you just have a every day stock non forced induction vehicle use the lowest octain rating, if your for a vehicle thats stock but with a factory forced induction uset via turbo or supercharger you want 92 octain, if you have a modifyied vehicle thats forced induction you want 93 or higher.

IIRC the 03/04 cobras can run flex fuel e85 but I dont remember.

There were ppl talking about using e85 in there forced induction non flex fuel vehicles and theres alot to convert it over and actully not worth the extra cents your saving thats just burning faster and you may get slightly better gass milage but your gonna have to put gas in your tank sooner than regular. Thats the best I could understand of it and the only places that have e85 round here are towns in the sticks.

I have yet to see it in my town.

So just buy whatever you can aford but make sure your vehicle was designed for flexfuel fuels before you even thik about putting it in your tank.

I never liked monty carlos and I hate nascar with a passion.

I think its boring watching ppl run around in an oval, and how all the cars look the same with just a manufature name on it.

and that donk stuff has been around ever sence rims started getting bigger than 16's, once 18s came out it was like everyoen and there dog had them on there donks.

Then some company came out with 30in rims that were ment for the hummers well someone got the bright idea of putting them on a donk...you need a ladder to get to the ladder thats used to get up in teh damn thing.

jjshumpert
11-27-2006, 01:01 PM
dont know bout the donk stuff, but ive got 18's on my scion tc, 19's on my race supra and 20's on my street stock supra and silverado LT4. nothing to do with looks, just the only size i could find with the proper weight and track for the vehicles they're on... and yeah they do look pretty darn kewl!
