Either you have it wired wrong, OR you have a short somewhere.

"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before... you want blindingly bright, super loud, running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card you can find AND you want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time. That one cracks me up every time..."

Found out the LS6 board has a short. But I have a backup board. I’m assuming I killed the battery from charging it too long. Have another battery on the way. I’m probably going to take a break for a few days to avoid pulling any hair out trying to find the issue.

    That would do it.

The new battery showed up and I took a break from the electronics to cut out my crystal chamber. But even with the new battery the blade won’t light up, and the the neopixel connector still only lights up red, no animations, no color change, just a static red, and now I’m completely lost on how to get it to work.

Sounds like it could be a configuration issue. You would have to post your config.txt file.

Are you sure the blade is pushed down far enough so that the pins on the hilt side are mAking full contact?
