Default Blue tooth reciever for sound

This just popped in my head. Has anyone tried hooking upba blue tooth to a soundboard and having the sound come out of a car or home blue tooth capabale sound system? That would be so amazing.

Wireless... yes... both Erv and Hyperdyne had this sort of setup. It's not very popular (in my opinion) due to the excess expense, extra logistics, and probably also the simple fact that very few people need this.

Granted... this would be EXCELLENT for a "2-person demo", showing it to a crowd or something.

If I had the $$$$, I would have made Balance of Power (both I & II) a mixture of music & vocals & foley effects on the CD... plus the "live" saber sounds as need be. The choreography would have also had a LOT more freedom this way, but... alas... I never had (and still do not) an endless sack o' gold to wave around.

What? Everyone don't have extra sacks of gold just laying around? JK. I can see how it would be great for doing productions.

Bluetooth is fairly inexpensive these days, I hacked some cheap headsets last year and used them to mod some art asylum star trek communicators, for a cost of about $20 bought at my local Bestbuy, in theory they could be wired to the speaker output (you would have to limit the volume output first) and they are very small so space would be ok, you just have a very short range (about 20ft max).

Woo-hoo! Finally some dough to help launch BOP III, hehehh... :P

back to wireless... but... yeah, 20 feet is limited, and I would also have to re-construct several sabers, buy the (currently non-existent) saber boards that would do the driving... set up the software on the computer with the sound files... port a laptop around (I *DID* just get one for Jennifer for school)... worry about cross-signals and possible noise...

...and the major thing is... the DYNAMICS of the sound. Latency would be an issue. "False detections" would be issues. The "staccato" type rhythm would be ok... but only for about 10 seconds, and then we'd want to hear "an arranged" sound piece. Many people don't realize how much work Ben Burtt had to put into the soundtracks for SW. His job was not all that far off from John Williams'... in that he was creating "a symphony of sound".

Now... to play Devil's Advocate on myself... there is a "prototype battle" that belonged in BOP III that I called "The 250". It is actually on my NSCFCDv1.1--the CF Sound CD. Anyhow... it has *NO* added sound effects... only the CF v2.61 sabers were providing the effects. It sounds nice enough. Although that was not wireless, nor as a "direct feed" into speakers for clear sound. What you hear is how it was, what you see was how it was seen...

But... unfortunately... I don't know if it's worth the trouble. Without a crew of 3 or 4 to support me... without even a *CAST* right now... without $$$ either. And I already have so many jobs to do.

    Default bag

yeah I'll take the bag if no one else claims it.

Bluetooth is cool but I am not sure how a Jedi would use it. I have thought about building a simple charger circuit and putting it in a droid caller:

    the circuit:

you can get pcb that is disk shaped from radio shack.

You may be able to stick a bluetooth module in the droid caller to control a self built R-2 unit.

All I can think of when I look at that link is how crappy the soldering job is on that board in the pic.
