Hello Saberland!
I know it’s been a while since I posted a build (mostly cause I’ve been building my entry into the TCSS Contest

) Well, I finally finished my steampunk themed saber. Nuclear Jedi Sabers is proud to present to you…
CHRONOS
This was a fun build with occasional moments of frustration and cursing.

During this build, the cram-fu was severely tested (*ALL* the electonics and the slip ring are housed in front of the choke section). One battery is located in the choke and the second is in the rear hilt on top of the battery meter.
The front shroud is a brass graflex replica with a lot of watch parts and elements incorporated into it. The design of the shroud was inspired by Slothfurnace’s Derelict. On the top of the shroud is a (non-working) small watch element and on the underside is a mesh-lined emitter port. The choke area is covered by a gold weathered watch band. In the pommel is a real working watch element. There’s a working battery gauge meter in the rear of the hilt as well. The activation switch is a mini toggle flip switch surrounded by a small motor stator from a 2.5” hard drive.
