Default Trying to figure out where to get the DIY Anakin MR conversion kit....

    Hi!
I'm new here, and I'm looking to work on my Anakin MR lightsaber to try out and see if I can convert it. If it works, then I'd most likely do my Episode 5 Vader lightsaber.
Anyway, I want to do it myself, and so I'm looking for the DIY Anakin Conversion kit (because I don't want to pay 350 dollars for it).
Does anyone know where I can buy it?

If you look in the store here under FX conversion kits you should find the parts you need, and there is a complete section on MR and FX conversions on the forum.

Now, does that come with everything I'm going to need, or do I need to buy other pieces to complete it?

You will need to buy the LED separately, as per description

THIS KIT IS FOR THE NON REMOVABLE BLADE VERSIONS

    MR/Hasbro Anakin conversion kit.
Blade/LED holder for converting a Anakin to a luxeon 3w.
LED, lens, and lens holder are sold seperately.

That's still not bad though! Thanks!
Will I need the lens and lens holder though too, or are they optional?

Unless you want a very poorly illuminated blade, then no, they are not optional.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz for the lazy man's resistor calculator!

Pretty sure that's not what I want haha
    Awesome, thanks!
Also, should this fit on the end of my saber as it is, or should I buy a brand new blade if I want this attached?

The kit is a bit big for the hilt, get ready to sand or prep your dremel! After you're done, it fits like a glove.

Sweet, thanks! Which part will need to be sanded, only the part that goes down into the hilt or the whole thing?
