Default HELP >.< blade question @_@

Hello, it has been a long time that I came here, and now I'm going to make my first saber.
I have a question that I have looked up on every page of this forum and never found a answer.
    here it is:

    the hilt and the blade-
To hold the blade in the holder's, I need to drill the holder and use a thumbscrew, but do I need to drill the polycarbonate also?

    if answer is yes:
What kind of drill should I use to make the hole?
by making a hole in the blade, wont make it easyer to brake?

    if answer is no:
a thumbscrew only can hold the blade in the hilt? how?

    Thanks very much guys.

No, you do not need to drill a hole in the blade, but you WILL need to drill and tap the hole (Make threads for the thumbscrew) using a thumbscrew or set screw applies pressure to the blade, keeping the blade from going anywhere, Tim has a drill and tap service in the store, just say where you want it on the blade holder and what size screw you want (I would recommend 10-32), and theres your hole

    Hope this helps

    now the 1 problem.
the color, it doesnt look so shiny like the pics or videos I have seen out there

im using a cyan, with 4AAA and the resistor of 2.2 that comes with the led.

what can i do to improve the light?

you'll find that most pics are exaggerated, usually it will look considerably brighter than an MR at the base and a little brighter towards the tip.
