it's only dangerous in two ways, as far as I can tell:
getting hit over the head with it might hurt, depending on how hard its swung, (its just a solid plastic blade) and you might go blind if you turn the brightness all the way up and stare at it too long...
Like a luxeon saber. Might it be a hilt with a strong light source shining up a solid plastic blade?

Is the plastic tube "solid" or is it hollow on the inside. IF its not hollow it will most likely snap when dueling with it.
