    Default I hate dial-up!!!!!

Man I hate dial-up!!!! It is soooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooow. I am away from home for a couple of months due to work. Thanks to my employer, it took two weeks for me to finaly get settled into my temp apartment and get the phone hooked up (they only new I was coming 3 months ago, you think they would have planed ahead a little). Now I have weeks worth of posts to read and I can only get through about one thread a night with this stupid modem. I will never be able to catch up. Now I will end up asking questions that have already been answered like a noobie or something.[!]

Ahh, the joys of Satellite via Hughes Net. 1.5 MB downloads, all the computers in the house log in at the same time.

I DO remember the pain of dial up. When my kids went into college I forked out the $$$ to buy the equipment, because we have no Cable or DSL out in the sticks where we live. After a year on Satellite, Road Runner came out trying to get my business. I gave them a force push into the next county [B)] and they haven't bothered me since.

yeah, i do have 2 options to get it. and one is hughes net since im on direct tv, but that suckers expensive, 300 bucks i think it was for the hardware, and 50 to 60 bucks for the service a month. and 2nd option drop sattelite and
netzero and go with the cable down the road and go dsl with them. right now thats the only ways i can get it. yahoo dsl or att dsl arent out here in the country yet.

Its funny, I have only had high speed cable for a couple of years. For 10 years I used dial up all the time and did just fine. Now it seems that I cant do anything with it. Just goes to show you how life just seems to get faster and faster I guess.
