Wow this is almost EXACTLY what's going on with my coppertop build.
I'm hitting the same speedbumps like different ID inside the mhs parts, stuff I need not in stock, etc. Including the same 20 year old radio shack soldering iron haha

I see you host images on imgur? Is that a decent interface on mobile? I gave up on computers a few years ago but doing certain things on my phone is also a pita.
Anyway congrats man I love how similar our builds are.
Hopefully I have a youtube vid up in my build soon.
I really need the female to female adapter back in stock because my old one won't allow the chassis rods to pass through the length of the saber.
Oh and then I need to build my first ever neopixel blade.
