Wow, I don't think I've seen anyone put the recharge port into the covertec - that's a neat trick!

If you think that was a neat trick, you should try spinning.
I wanted to keep the protruding pieces to a minimum to make it easier to hold and duel with. As I held both the covertec and recharge port in my hands, I thought "I wonder if that will fit inside?" It did fit and I like the way it functions. I don't know if I'd do it again, as it made it difficult to slide the chassis in and out. The covertec knob is JB Welded in place for extra support. If I did do it again, I'd probably thread the covertec knob so it would unscrew off the port and everything could be disassembled. Especially since I now have the correct threading tap.
I've since discovered that some others had the idea (to put the port in the covertec) and implemented it long before me. The shop even has a kill key (https://www.thecustomsabershop.com/K...le-3-P579.aspx) that fits in the recharge port, but I'm not sure if it would hanging on your belt securely.
Also, Ris Liam your saber and Honor-Light could have been brothers! And the recharge plug you found (http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com...s-Out&p=269059) would probably work well with a recharge/covertec combo.
