Revenge of the Sith [MR Vader problem... again]

So I just got done making a sweet titanium clamp card for my Vader conversion project and I've hit a wall.

Where on earth are the switches going to go?!

There's a tiny TINY scooch of play in the card, but I don't think there's enough play to sneak buttons under for the rocker style clamp card activator. Plus I'm planning on making the bubble strip into a PLI so there's going to be at least 7 wires going in there already...

and ideas? done this before? I have the smallest microswiches (about 4mm tall 3mm wide and 6mm long).

I've seen them put on the sides of the raised section of the clamp. It's a cram-fu challenge no matter which way you look at it.

intersting, super duper sketch broaching chrome plating though... I was tempted to do one in the button shaped greebly up by the emitter but... would mean cutting into said greebly...

I think I'm going to machine the card some more and make it into a rocker. It's the simplest solution I can think of, despite being the most cram...

I found that "sanding" the bubble strip down (in thickness), then using a spring-loaded rocker switch like this on Shapeways: https://www.shapeways.com/product/PX...ionId=60677636

works. I use TCSS Switches on mine! Video shows using a small piece of aluminum under the bubble strip to help.

Oh neat. I'm planning a Hasbro Vader full conversion and I've been all over the internet trying to find a solution for the switches. I've seen those rocker switches but they looked too big to fit on the MR/Hasbro. Did you do any modifications to the original clamp section? What TCSS switches did you use too? If you could post any pictures I'd really really appreciate it!

Let me get some stuff on camera, and I'll try to show you what I can. I have mostly done MR work, but you can typically get in there with a dremel and clear some space on the Hasbro. I have used a couple of different "micro switches"...I'll look for the link to find them.
