Thread: LED Shim

    Default LED Shim

I have two questions about the Rebel LED shims. What were the dimensions of the shims? Also what kinds of material could I use to make my own?
I love it when a plan comes together!

I never got any, but I'm going to assume they're similar in dimensions to the LED stars.

Copper would work best as a shim. You want it to be a good heat conductor. Aluminum would work if you can't find copper. You could probably find some thin copper sheets at your local hobby store.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Look for a penny dated earlier than 1982. Instant copper shim
