Thread: checking my wiring outline

    Default checking my wiring outline

Ok this is for a new lightsaber I am designing that has 2 switches and a crystal chamber with LED.
The two switches are the Green Ring LED and Nickel Plated. I believe I have this wired up so that the Nickel Plated will control the LED on the Green Ring switch and the LED for the Crystal Chamber, while the Green Ring LED will have control over the blade itself. I want it wired so that no matter what the Green Ring switch can turn the blade on, whether or not the crystal chamber and ring are on.

oh boy that drawing hurts my brain.. could you draw as circuit or use photo?

Both switches need to be latching, and you need a resistor for the crystal chamber LED, but otherwise the diagram looks correct.

If the nickel plated switch isn't latching, the CC and LED ring will only be on while you're actually holding the button down.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Ok that makes sense, I was wondering about that. And I didn't put any resistor on the line going to the Crystal Chamber LED cause I havent figured out what LED to use yet, all the ones in the store are a little too powerful for what I want to do

Knify, he did draw it as a circuit, he just used words instead of pictures. I do agree it was hard to look at for a minute. I concur with everything Silver Serpent said.
