So recently I visited the actual site for the LEDs, (wrong) , and I found something very intriguing. I have a white LED from TCSS in my second saber right now, and it's satisfyingly bright . . . without the filters in it. Even one filters drop is slightly disappointing.
Does anyone have experience putting a Tri-Star LED in their sabers? The listing on the site has the same amperage draw as all but the TCSS white LED, which is 1 amp. Even the white Tri-Stars are listed at 700mA. I'm hoping for a quick response, because I would love to put this and have a ridiculously bright saber. I would then also get the green Tri-Star for my first lightsaber.
A side question is what the viewing angle of the Tri-Star lenses would do. They are 18 degrees instead of the TCSS 8.7 degrees, which I would assume may actually refract better in the diffusion film if my college physics serves, as a less steep angle with the film would reflect better in the blade.
