Here it is, in my rush to get the parts for my new saber I forgot to make sure everything was lined up (right now the switch is about 180deg off of where I want it). Will the trim rings that they sell at TCSS fix this problem?

Can't say if the trim ring will work for you or not, (someone who is more qualified than I will need to answer that). But I did run into the same problem in my build. My solution was to use a rubber washer from the local hardware store and trimed out what I didn't need. It left enough play that I could adjust how everything lined up.

was just looking and I think I will have the switch on the side it is on. I will need to "shave" one of the pieces to get it lined up perfictly.
Light sanding on the ends of the tube will rotate them pretty easily. If it needs to rotate between the hilt and blade holder section you may need to sand the heat sink instead or as well.

180 degrees being "half a turn", you need to remove about .0275" from the end by sanding or other mechanical means
AK-47s and Lightsabers, both so fun to build
Everyone's being so helpful and all, but didn't we JUST have this discussion in another thread?
