Thread: Stripped Blade Holder

    Default Stripped Blade Holder

I stripped the screw hole made to hold the blade and the safety plug in the blade holder. It's an 8/32 hole that was tapped and worked for for a while I know where the mistake was made, but can you use Loctite or something so I don't have to buy a whole new blade holder?

Just drill and tap it out to a 10-32 and you will be fine.

You can't use Loctite unless you plan on leaving the blade in the saber all the time. Loctite is a thread locker, not mean for use on threads that have a screw that gets loosened and tightened. And if your threads are really stripped out, as in gone, then Loctite won't work, anyway.

The only viable choice, in this case, is to do what Rhyen suggests, if you want to use the same hole.
