Imperial Knight MKII Saber!

Hey there EU Fans!

One of our recent EU projects was a Jaina Solo Saber, and also needed to revisit the Imperial Knight design. I really had a lot of fun with the last one, so it was a welcome project to do another . Like before, I wanted to keep the simple no frills battle ready design and still have some subtle elegance, something that while looking "Standard Issue" would still carry the Vader's Vault mark So instead of going with a simple aluminum sleeve over a grooved/PC'd hilt, I went with a custom aluminum inner grip piece that also serves as the electronics chassis. The inner grip serves some very interesting functions: first it is the chassis so install and removal of the electronics is SOOO easy. It also serves to keep the profile sleek and comfortable in the hand. The grip also has the added benefit of venting the sound further than just the pommel holes, you can actually FEEL it too . It is truly a soldiers wepaon.

MHS based Hilt HEAVILY modified
Custom aluminum inner grip piece/chassis lathed and PC'd in flat black
Imperial Knight pommel with D-ring
FX Sith board
Seoul P4 u-bin white LED
Guarded latching switch
Internal recharge system with 4.8v Ni-Mh battery pack

Me too! I like more elaborate ones as well as long as they're not over done. It seems tricky to make cleaner designs look unique, finished and well executed as anything out of place will really stand out, but I think you nailed it again.
