The older sound boards used two C cell batteries and the newer boards all use 3 cells. Maybe this is a old board I have never tried using a 3 watt led on those.

My Vader is a 2C saber... so unless it's really old stock I'm confused as to why it won't work for him.

So Xwing your Vader sound board worked? Did you turn it off and on with the switch off the board? You didn't get the opposite turning on and off effect? What did you use for batteries? Thanks for all the help guys, I guess if I can't get this to work I'll just try a different sound board.

It turned on just like the other boards I have blinks with the turning on then stays on. The switch on the board worked fine for me. I ran it off 4AAA's.

This is one of those fun ones that without it being infront of you it is hard to troubleshoot

You dont know the POWER, of the dark side...
yeah my custom I just finished has one of the Vader hasbros in it and works just fine. I soldered a momentary switch onto the holes for a switch and also soldered a 4 AAA battery holder onto it and wired it according to the diagrams provided by strider in the threads and it still is working like a charm....just tends to drain the batteries pretty fast....but that is a minor thing.
just have extras on hand i reckon then

Ah the joy of battery powered stuff, the batteries always go dead when we are just starting to have fun.[]
